Division 7 - Långbro Feelin' (Transparent Blue Vinyl LP)

Facts Rather than jumping on a trend, Division 7 has just stayed true to themselves all the way. At a furious pace - "the songs just show up" - the band has worked through two highly acclaimed full-length albums, as many EPs and a messy live album in just a little over 3 years.

Långbro feelin' is an album about staying put when everything shakes. About psychological fragility, love that becomes a lifeline and a shackle at the same time, and about trying to find footing in a society that doesn't wait for anyone.

The band moves through treatment rooms and living rooms, childhood memories and wrecked relationships. Here you'll find compulsive thoughts, medication and a blue screen in the soul, but also a burning desire to feel something for real. The lyrics revolve around shame, guilt, identity and the choice to break rather than conform.

In contrast to the darkness, the album also carries a stubborn hope. New seeds are tucked into pockets, fresh soil waits to be worked. Långbro feelin' is Division 7 at their most exposed and precise: music for everyone who doesn't quite fit in but refuses to disappear, for everyone who goes down on their knees but stubbornly keeps their head held high.

To an outsider, Division 7 comes across as a band with two central pillars: the strong, never-ending songs and a furious, well-oiled live machine that - perhaps more than any other indie band in Sweden right now - has covered mile after mile across the country in recent years.
