Wanda Jackson - Rockin' With Wanda

Facts Think of American rock'n'roll and rockabilly in the Fifties and Sixties and names like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis come to mind. But there was an influential woman who rocked as hard as the guys - Wanda Jackson. Known to many as 'The First Lady of Rockabilly', Wanda steamrolled onto the scene in 1954 with her attitude-laden, gravelly tones, breaking up the boys' club and becoming the first woman to try her hand at rock'n'roll. Rarely does an artist storm in and shake up the status quo like Wanda Jackson did. This album contains some of her most influential work, showing why critics and fans alike place her in the same bracket as rock'n'roll's greatest men.
