Tony Williams - Believe It

Facts Limited edition of 1000 numbered copies on crystal clear 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Released in 1975, Believe It is the debut album by The New Tony Williams Lifetime, marking a fresh direction for legendary jazz fusion drummer Tony Williams. Featuring guitarist Allan Holdsworth, bassist Tony Newton, and keyboardist Alan Pasqua, the album delivers a dynamic blend of jazz fusion, rock, and funk. Standout tracks like Fred and Proto-Cosmos highlight Holdsworth's groundbreaking guitar work, Williams' powerful drumming, and the band's intricate interplay. Unlike Williams' earlier work with the original Lifetime, Believe It leans toward a tighter, more structured sound while maintaining it's improvisational spirit. Regarded as a jazz fusion classic, Believe It showcases technical mastery and musical innovation, influencing generations of fusion and rock musicians. It's energetic compositions and virtuosic performances make it a must-listen for fans of progressive jazz and instrumental rock.
