Reeds And Deeds - Cookin'

Facts In the grand tradition of such inspired pairings as Johnny Griffin and Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis or Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt, tenor titans Eric Alexander and Grant Stewart team up again as Reeds and Deeds for a new outing that again highlights the saxophonists' complementary styles. Ably supported by David Hazeltine, John Webber, and Joe Farnsworth the pair covers a smart mix of standards from the bossa strains of "Black Orpheus" to the soulful Ammons classic "Hittin the Jug."
