Perla Batalla - A Letter to Leonard Cohen: Tribute to a Friend (LP)

Facts Grammy-nominated Perla Batalla's 8th full-length album. What sets this apart is that Perla's early career was guided by Cohen. After touring & recording with the great poet, Batalla brings her intimate perspective to the Cohen canon, celebrating her friend's legacy with an intersection of deeply personal tribute & fearlessly bold originality. Multi-Grammy winner Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Dr. Dre, Justin Timberlake) produced the chilling single, Democracy. Grammy winner, & Tony nominee Patrick Page (Hadestown, All the Devils Are Here) sings on the track, an all too timely ode to the fragility of the American experiment.
