Paula Band Boggs - Sumatra (CD)

Facts "Sumatra" is a powerful Folk-Americana collection that blends blues, gospel, and folk influences into a rich acoustic tapestry, featuring collaborations with the Blind Boys of Alabama, Valerie June, Josh Neumann, and James Falzone. Steeped in storytelling, the album explores themes of aging, love, loss, ancestry, humor, and hope, beginning with a Gregorian chant and culminating in an emphatic rendition of "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me 'Round." Timely and thought-provoking, "Sumatra" offers a countercultural message of grace and shared humanity, inviting listeners to reflect on what connects us in a divided world.
