Nikolay Kasakov & Alexey Wagner - Reflections On Bach (Marbled Vinyl

Facts REFLECTIONS ON BACH IS A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT BY SAXOPHONIST NIKOLAY KASAKOV AND GUITARIST ALEXEY WAGNER, TWO MUSICIANS UNITED BY THEIR DEEP ADMIRATION FOR JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH AND THEIR DESIRE TO EXPLORE HIS MUSIC FROM A FRESH PERSPECTIVE. Rather than offering a strict historical interpretation, Kasakov and Wagner approach Bach's timeless works as living material-music that continues to inspire dialogue across centuries, genres, and instruments. Reflections on Bach is both homage and reimagination: the duo weaves together authentic Baroque spirit with modern sensibility, creating a sound world that highlights Bach's universal beauty while also revealing surprising colors and textures. The interplay between saxophone and guitar gives the album a distinctive voice. Each piece becomes not just a performance, but a meditation-a reflection on how Bach resonates with contemporary listeners and performers alike. With Reflections on Bach, Nikolay Kasakov and Alexey Wagner invite audiences to experience Bach anew: familiar yet transformed, structured yet free, reverent yet imaginative.
