My Dear Companion - Well Of Time

Facts My Dear Companion are known for their unique, warm sound: three very different voices that blend into an irresistible whole, opening up a world full of music and stories that move you deeply. It is grand in its simplicity.

The trio draws inspiration from old-time country and American bluegrass, especially groups and artists such as The Carter Family, Ralph Stanley and High Sierra Trio (Dolly Parton/Linda Ronstadt/Emmylou Harris), and they have played and sung that music together extensively. Hannah, Agnes and Lea have expanded their repertoire with self-written songs, now recorded on the album “Well of Time.”

In My Dear Companion's sound, their singing style and instrumentation reveal the musical tradition the trio comes from, but their own music holds something more. You could say they stand with one foot in country/bluegrass, while the other has moved toward American folk/Americana.
