Bobby Mitchell - Try Rock And Roll

Facts This fantastic 32 track compilation presents some of the best rhythm & blues New Orleans has to offer. Bobby Mitchell was a major personality in the city but sadly like many his fame did not spread nationally. This collection showcases all of his most popular and influential recordings, tracks like, "I'm Gonna Be A Wheel Someday" and his biggest hit, "Try Rock and Roll". Produced by Dave Bartholomew, most of New Orleans' greatest session musicians such as Lee Allen, Red Tyler and Earl Palmer are scattered like juicy crawfish across this tasty musical gumbo. Filling dancefloors for years, and let's hope many more to come - this exciting set of rocking blues and r&b is a must for fans of the genre.
