Michel Onfray / Joel Pouthas - Front Populaire (6CD)

Facts The Popular Front marks for France the realization of a certain ideal of the united left and brought them, for the first time, to power in a Europe that had been eaten away by fascism. This social, republican and democratic hope gives workers the confidence to ask for more - wage increases, a 40-hour week, unemployment benefits, or paid leave - but also comes up against many challenges. Through 6 major conferences organized by Michel Onfray and the Caen UP at the Rond-Point theater, the stakes of this cultural and political heritage are decoded to shed light on this historical moment, mystified by the right and the left according to biases that are worth going over in this lecture series.
