Marrow Esther - Newport News, Virginia

Facts One of the world's leading gospel singers started out singing jazz with Ellington. She made two LPs of her own before leaving secular music, both highly sought after. Sister Woman was reissued last year; here's her first LP, a glorious mix of groovy cuts and ballads: Money Honey; Mama; Satisfied; Walk Tall; Hello Brother, and more. CD debut! BGP.
