Lower Monumental - Mayday Session

Facts The debut recording of Portland's Lower Monumental documents a live performance for Seattle's KEXP radio show "Monarchy." Totally unrehearsed or preplanned, Lower Monumental's performances take Jazz into unfamiliar ambient and picturesque territory. Aided by the subtle use of electronic effects and samplers, they explore texture and landscape implying a moody, free-Jazz soundtrack. "... meticulously molds musical sound-scapes that can alternately seduce you to sleep, get you stoned, and make you feel all slinky and sexy. Brilliance without words." - Anodyne Magazine.
