Above an old Konsum grocery bag, something strange shimmers and crackles in the air. Inside the bag are photographs and papers from Iran and the Soviet Union. In her own words and with her own humor, Laleh Pourkarim takes us through history, all the way to the United States and the present day. And gently into the innermost places. There we hear her father whisper about Marx and the dead Persian poets, while Gustaf speaks of God in the other ear. And what did Mom say about the power of the individual, invisible patterns, and money? Can a person be both a poet and a wolf?

And at the very bottom of the bag lies a document that has been impossible to read, until now.

A book so personal that anyone can understand it. About approaching the big questions, to perhaps understand yourself and the world a little better.
