Jörgen Holmstedt / Stefan Boman - Skivbacken

Facts Skivbacken features 32 interviews with famous rock artists, all starting from a yellow beer crate filled with vinyl records. This "bait" turns out to get the vinyl-loving rock stars genuinely fired up. They open up and share stories and anecdotes that may never have been told before.

It started with Slash of Guns N' Roses.

When he saw the record crate in front of him at Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm, he became obsessed.

He immediately started eagerly flipping through the stack of records. When he came across his own favorite albums or ones that had influenced him in some way, he went into full gear. He shared memories and opinions and never seemed to want to stop. When the record label staff wanted to cut the interview short, he waved them away...

In the end, Slash summed it up with a smile: "Best interview today!"

That's when journalist Jörgen Holmstedt and photographer Stefan Boman realized their interview gimmick was a hit. It became the start of the popular article series "Skivbacken" in Rock'n'Roll Magazine. Now, for the first time, a selection of these interviews is coming out in book form.
