Hussain Ustad Dildar & Abrar Hussai - Sur Sangreet

Facts This album is a tribute to the Qawwali musical tradition, which is a form of Sufi devotional music. It features Master Tabla Player, Ustad Dildar Hussain and his very own Qawwali Party. The recording showcases his mind-bending tabla, harmonium, and vocal solos and fuses the classical sounds commonly heard in Sufi devotional music with his own contemporary stylistic contributions. Ustad passes on his legacy by including three of his sons in his Qawwali party, highlighting Abrar Hussain, who is a gifted singer in his own right. Sur Sangeet combines the percussive mastery and immaculate solos of Ustad, who played alongside the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn for 28 years, which may attribute to the dynamic and spellbinding sounds heard on this recording.
