Elmore James John Brim - Whose Muddy Shoes

Facts Elmore James / John Brim - Whose Muddy Shoes (Chess Acoustic Sounds Series). Whose Muddy Shoes digs up essential, underrated recordings from two giants of the Chicago blues, Elmore James and John Brim. Recorded in different sessions for Chess Records between 1953 to 1960, these performances capture the raw, electrifying sound that helped shape modern blues. Across these recordings, James' unmistakable guitar work and commanding vocals complement the lesser known (yet remarkable and gritty) singing of Brim. The LP offers a compelling portrait of two distinct blues voices at their best. Standout tracks include Dust My Broom, Ice Cream Man, and The Sun Is Shining. Bring home the sound of America's greatest blues label in high fidelity with the Chess Acoustic Sounds Series.
