Dave Stewart & Spiritual Cowboys - Honest

Facts **Dave Stewart's** second album with the **Spiritual Cowboys** expanded the musical ideas of their debut, although it was slightly less focused and pop-oriented than its predecessor. *'Honest'* is a 1991 album and his last album which featured the *Pretenders'* **Martin Chambers** on drums and a pleasantly inconsequential piece of ear candy. Its bright, playful arrangements hark back to the cheerful eclecticism of the Sixties, and **Stewart's** gruff, half-spoken vocals and surreal lyric scenarios find their origins in early *Dylan.* Some great songs on this CD: *'Honest' , 'Whole Wide World', 'Crown Of Madness'* and *'Fool's Paradise'*.
