Crayonettes - Playing Out

Facts 2010 release. The Crayonettes are a Kathryn Williams and Anna Spencer, two mums who set out to make a 'kids' record delivering everything from Hip Hop and Electro to '50's crooners with songs about robots in the rain, sweets on the floor and pirates taking over buses. Far removed from Kathryn's solo work, one listen gives one the sneaking impression that much like the Simpsons, The Crayonettes are working on more than one level to deliver on the one hand a happy distraction to kids, but on the other, knowing chuckles to long suffering mums. One Little Indian.
