Buckner Milt W. Illinois Jacquet Buddy Tate Son - Rocking Hammond Of

Facts 2009 release. Milt Buckner was a roly-poly bundle of dynamite whose short legs couldn't quite reach his piano pedals, but his intensely animated bouncing while he played his solos and his great sense of humor won the hearts of all but the most petulant Jazz critics. The versatile Buckner talent is here in spades on tunes like 'Count's Basement', 'One O'clock Jump', 'The Late, Late Show', and 'Jumpin' at the Woodside', showcasing Milt's one-man-ensemble organ style with a nod to Basie. Features two complete albums: Rockin' with Milt and Rockin' Hammond. So here is music that really swings, music that exploits the full Jazz potential of the Hammond organ, giving Milt Buckner a better than usual chance to demonstrate his extraordinary technical and creative skills at the Hammond.
