Emil Brandqvist Trio - Poems For Travellers

Facts Emil Brandqvist Trio is among the top European piano jazz ensembles. Their latest album reached No. 2 on the German jazz charts, and in 2024 they received a special award for 50 million streams, a milestone rarely reached in instrumental jazz. For the first time, the three Scandinavians chose not to bring in guest musicians. Instead, they recorded their signature blend of striking melodies and highly complex arrangements as a trio in the studio, with all three musicians taking on solo roles. Drummer Emil Brandqvist holds nothing back, and Tuomas A. Turunen is in top form. Poems For Travellers marks yet another highlight in the trio's success story, which has now spanned more than ten years.
