Facts This album features one of the top names in European modern jazz, sax player Uwe Steinmetz, in a program of his own compositions and arrangements for jazz soloist with string quartet. This smooth and enthralling new sound is founded on 'straight playing' by Fitzwilliams, overlaid by solo work from Steinmetz and violinist Mads Tolling that ranges from original composed lines to free improvisation.
