Various Artists - Gwp - Nyc - Tlc Vol 2

Facts 2009 release, the second volume of rare Soul tracks from Gerry Purcell's New York-based GWP label. Purcell made his money through managing major U.S. middle-of-the-road artists like Eddy Arnold and Al Hirt. His entry into the R&B field was largely unsuccessful in terms of hits but he assembled some of the cream of New York talent to create very high quality Soul music. 24 tracks including cuts from Benny Gordon, Alice Clark, Bobby Penn, Debbie Taylor and many others. Kent.
