Facts (2-CD set) Are you ready to swing? Avid's latest Essential Collection release crosses the pond to bring you Classic Swing U.S.A. An American phenomenon, the Swing Band era was at it's peak from the mid-1930s to the mid-1940s and was generally thought to have been started when Benny Goodman let loose and hit a groove at the Palomar Ballroom in 1935. In addition to Mr. Goodman, this double CD features such greats as Chick Webb, Artie Shaw, Gene Krupa, The Dorsey Brothers and many many more Swing legends.
