Art D'ecco - In Standard Definition

Facts Following the success of Art D'Ecco's 2018 debut release Trespasser, Paper Bag Records presents the project's highly anticipated sophomore album, In Standard Definition. Joining forces with producer/engineer Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, New Pornographers, Destroyer), In Standard Definition sees d'Ecco packing his heftiest punch yet. Drawing deep inspirations from classic television and cinema, d'Ecco has numerous surprises in store here with a stunning collection of new music accompanied by a series of striking visual collaborations, adding depth and dimension with every release. Lead single "TV God" is about what captivates us with celebrity; A 1970's glammed-up piano driven throwback in the vein of Iggy Pop "NightClubbing," or Rough Trade's "Highschool Confidential." "We tune in, we obsess. We feel close. Nothing can shake it. Every era, and every culture has their very own TV God," d'Ecco says.
