Limited pink vinyl – shipped with pre sale-exclusive pin and holographic sticker
Purple is the debut album from the Swedish band Pink Milk – a dark atmospheric record, filled with cinematic unnerving soundscapes that reminds of a forgotten movie soundtrack from the 80s. The record will be released in a limited edition on pink vinyl, shipped with some exclusive pre-sale extras.
The duo, consisting of Maria (vocals and drums) and Edward (guitars and bass) started out in 2015 with a praised cover of the 80’s classic ”I Want to Know What Love Is”, followed by their own single ”Detroit”, and was quickly recognized for their extreme sound and enslaving melodies.
Pink Milk has since then toured in Scandinavia, played a much appreciated show at Øyafestivalen and released two more songs: ”Drömmen skepp” (”Ship of Dreams”) (originally comissioned by Swedish Television but was deemed to dark for primetime consumption) and ”Awakening of Laura” that has been rotated frequently by Swedish Radio and embraced by indie press in the UK and Sweden.
”It sounds absolutely incredible!"
- Kerrang! Radio
”Shoegaze guitars, beats that shake the foundation of time, howling, windswept drones, and vocals laced with barbed wire. It's unfathomably dark in places, but Pink Milk have an innate knack for pop hooks
- The Line of Best Fit
”If this wasn’t recorded in an aircraft hangar then we’ll be amazed. It’s suitably huge and dreamy but underneath the dense fog is a quality song.”
- Shortlist
”An almighty, fucked up pop song.”
